Visiting Riomaggiore in Cinque Terre, Italy

Siiiiiiiiiii!

Cinque Terre is one of those areas where you honestly ask yourself, “How on earth did people build this place?”

For that reason, it makes for a very photogenic and impressionable holiday. Take your camera, you’re going to need it.

My favourite little Italian dream.
Riomaggiore.

This was a trip we took last May, just before summer began to creep in. The weather was still moody and unpredictable with a crisp breeze. If you go in May, it may be warm enough but still bring a jacket.

A view over Riomaggiore. The gem of Italy’s Cinque Terre region.
A beautiful town which is perched atop rocky cliff tops.

My impressions of Cinque Terre:

Crooked but perfect.
Approaching Riomaggiore from the water.
Local goods for sale.
So much life and colour here!
If you love colour, you’ll love this town.
