Hi, I’m Phoebe…

… Australian born but now based in Frankfurt. I started Kaptain Kenny when I really started living in Europe, realising what it means to be able to travel anywhere within virtually an hour. And that’s why I spend six months of the year travelling.

Kaptain Kenny embodies the idea that the world is your oyster. I entice people with trips to seemingly unreachable destinations – but then I inspire them to explore the beauty that’s right in their backyard. I can do that because I see Europe + the world through the eyes of a foreigner.

Since moving to Germany, I’ve learned German and Spanish and I’ve travelled to 35 countries.  I’m a lover of travel writing & storytelling, photography, culture and languages.

Oh wow! I’ll be in Venice at midnight on Monday and I’m staying until Thursday morning. I have been wanting to visit Burano for quite a while, so I’m really looking forward to it.

What’s your favourite spot in Venice to eat at? Any good recommendations?

        Ciao 🙂

Oh so nice! I wrote a specific post about Venice and The Island tour, you can find it here: http://www.fromdreamtoplan.net/2016/10/10/how-not-to-spend-an-ordinary-day-in-venice/

I think the best thing to do if you want to taste typical Venetian food is to go for “bacari” is practically a pub crowl but you just do it yourself and in each place you order a glass of wine and a little dish (kind of tapas), it’s a really typical Venetian thing!
