Hola Kaptain Kenny amigos,
Well here we are again, in Cuba!
This was an incredibly short stop en-route from Vinales. As Cuba’s roads are so terrible *fragile*, we had to drive from Vinales all the way back up to Havana and then swing back down south again towards our next destination which was Trinidad.
We made a quick one hour pitstop in Cienfuegos and the following photos should give you a little taste of what this town is all about.
My impression of Cienfuegos is that it was lovely to photograph and walk around for a bit but I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here for any long length of time. It’s just quite small and I don’t think there is too much for you to see in comparison with other Cuban cities.
In saying that, I didn’t spend enough time there to warrant that opinion and I’ve heard of people who have really enjoyed their time there. So it’s all up to you in the end.
However, if it’s part of your journey north or south, then definitely do stop for lunch and a short stroll!
As usual, we’ll let the photos tell the story but do contribute with some comments or questions 🙂

Ciao for now

Town hall.

It was so, so SO hot here!

Now that’s pretty cool.

Colour blocking.

Ring ring.

Life in Cienfuegos – as you can see, it’s pretty quiet!

But its rustic charm certainly makes for a good photo.

It’s so common for Cubans to sit outside their homes and ‘people watch’.

Horses, carts and bicycles everywhere in Cuba.

Loving the SUN.

My memory of Cienfuegos is that it was rather blue.

Blue: see what I mean?

Daily life.

Deez carz.

My poor Instagram husband haha.

Oh looky here – cover shot?

On holidays!

Cienfuegos is certainly a sweet little town.

Looking out to see if we’re about to get run over by a horse and cart.

The Cuban flag.
